freedom was logical in my youth in amsterdam in the 70's. The more and more it appaers we have to protect it again - only shortly after WW2.
Freedom of speech, of thought, of body, of choices in general.
Hope we can re-install this MOST IMPORTANT issue by love and connection - for fighting agression with agression doesn't work..

Throughout my youth, in retrospect, freedom is something I seem to have taken for granted. Living in Amsterdam, feeling free is as easy as driving your bike to work or wear purple hair - if you just don't care. I love how I can go get groceries barefooted or walk without a shirt, when it is warm and I don't feel like having to overdress to impress. Wearing a skirt or make-up, wigs or long hear or even nothing at all, as nudity is another form of freedom. Then there is the freedom of dancing to well-mixed house music. Without limitations of pre-practiced choreography or any rule whatsoever on how you should dance, moving to the music of dedicated DJ’s, is yet another freedom thingy for me.

It was not until I met many Tibetan refugees in the Himalayas, that I became fully aware of the importance of freedom. Unfortunately, freedom proves not at all universal.

As a meditational coach, with MEDITATE4FREEDOM, I practice compassion towards others and help them walk the path of inner freedom (free from fear, stress, anger and so forth).

Furthermore, I feel that outer freedom (human rights & the right to be yourself) can be achieved if we all become aware of freedom and ALL unite for the common cause. As the managing director of ALL4FREEDOM, I believe I have my work cut out for me and will try to live up to my task of inspiring individuals to come and co-create the community that I'll lead to realizing a respectful, 'live and let live' freedom-filled future. IAM4FREEDOM!

Freedom is the most important thing in life. Freedom of speech -thought -religion -choice of sex is very important for me. Freedom is the most valuable thing that we have, do not trample it.

To live our lives without the need to feel guilt or apologise for who we are.
Having grown up in Hull (where each year they have a Freedom Festival) freedom has always been an important part of local history. William Wilberforce, a former MP, fought for the abolition of slavery for many years.
Freedom and equal rights should exist for everyone.

looking at anyone in the world and seeing an equal. Seeing someone you are not afraid of, and seeing every person as your brother, your sister, your sibling. We are all deserving of freedom and it is a human right.

Freedom means feeling safe and welcome in your community and being extended the same opportunities as your peers. People should be able to work together, love and respect each other and advocate for fairness in all aspects of life. We are all humans, and are all deserving of leading happy lives. The injustices suffered by several groups of people, especially people of color, throughout history and continuously today need to be rectified if humanity hopes to thrive. Stop silencing POC. Our voices are valid and important.

My ART4FREEDOM illustrates the struggle of the artist that feels as if their creativity is being restricted due to being contained within four walls. Within the composition, the artist, who is drenched in shadow, is reaching out with desperate hands towards the pencil. The pencil appears to be growing flowers, signifying the process of creation an artist is capable of when given the tools. The window is the only way the artist may peer out into the outside world, untainted by the process of digitally uploaded files. However, although the window offers a sense of freedom as shown by the birds who are not restricted in their movement, the current state of the outside world appears to be "sour", yet still containing notes of creation and life as seen in the flowers. Through our hardships, art is created, and through our art, hardships are overcome. IAM4FREEDOM!
