My ART4FREEDOM is about how rebellious graffiti is used for freedom.
I'm from a country called Tunisia (north Africa) used to be known as Carthage 3000 years ago. We had a revolution against an oppressive regime back in 2011, so to honour the men and army soldiers, who died in that uprising trying to protect the people from the regime's- and French mercenaries, in my home-town / neighbourhood, we wanted to make a graffiti on one of the walls. I had the job to come up with some good ideas, this is one of them. In Tunisia, these days, people are painting and cleaning all around the country, in a way unprecedented and unparalleled. With my artwork, I try to remind people what we did 9 years ago, when we stood-up against tyranny, fighting for freedom, and to be ourselves. Let's not forget that freedom means that no strength of arms, can win the will of the people. IAM4FREEDOM! |
