| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is based on the documentary film, '5 broken Cameras'. My work is a culmination of a fictional representation of the violent environment the journalist's son grows up in. It touches on topics such as loss of innocence as well as the political brainwashing of the children brought up there. In terms of design aspects. I personified the innocence of the child Jibreel, with visibly big eyes of curious and childlike demeanor. I wanted to highlight how the war between the Palestinians and Israel have stolen the lives of many children and forced their hand into a hostile ongoing war, all for the purpose of political greed and corporate agendas. There are many places in the world that are losing their freedom for similar reasons and, hopefully, by sharing this here, I can make people aware of the importance of freedom above all. IAM4FREEDOM!
