Covid_19
ART4FREEDOM meaning:
My ART4FREEDOM is about how we all unite to fight the virus that came home, loud and uninvited. And even though it had announced its arrival months before, it found us in fear but prepared. It was best that we quarantined ourselves, heavily rationing our food. We were at war...
My Uganda is a small, landlocked 3rd world country with an estimated young population of 42 million. Despite these odds, it has managed to keep its Covid 19 cases low. The country has been in lockdown for more than 2 months. Flights were not allowed in or out of the country, public transport was brought to a stand still and only essential service businesses were allowed to stay open. Despite the fact that this hurt the country's economy, quarantine kept the corona virus case low.
State bodies were used as the first line defence. While the police enforced the curfew and lockdown, the army and prison security supplied food to the quarantined communities.
If this was war... We were winning and we will soon be free again. And if we can fight a virus together, we can fight for freedom together. We can stop all totalitarian regimes together, so we can all be free. IAM4FREEDOM!
