| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM was written by the acclaimed Macedonian author Vancho Polazarevski and it was a big inspiration for my illustration.
In the illustration I wanted to portray this tiny, seemingly harmless little creature just casually and calmly standing on the side, while all of the big, strong and scary monsters are running away in terror. Which in a way is similar to what happened in our world. When imagining disasters we have always thought about some big natural cataclysmic events, nuclear wars, riots etc. But the biggest threat turned out to be something entirely different and unexpected, an invisible and seemingly irrelevant thing that in a matter of weeks took away all of our freedom, disrupted the world's biggest super powers and economies and instilled fear and panic in people's minds. I only hope that after this is over, we will never take our freedom for granted again and we will always be humble and cautious because we can never know in what form, shape or size any future threat that might change the way we live and function might come in.
