| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is not really about the art itself, but about the reason why it was made. Here, in Brazil, ever since we were colonized, we have lost our freedom and have been sabotaged by our own leaders as f***. When all hope for freedom is lots and fighting for freedom becomes hopeless in the eyes of many, the oppressed and suffering found another way to deal with life, humour. Comedy offered a laugh or two and and escape from tyranny and is why this drawing was made. Now that we have lost our freedom due to lockdowns, the drawing comes alive again as a light-cartooned pest doctor running to fight for freedom and against the virus, COVID-19, that can easily be used as a meme. IAM4FREEDOM!
