My ART4FREEDOM represents a portrait of a man, who can be interpreted like a self-portrait during lockdown.
The Supermarket bag tells about our addiction to stay alive and try to solve and meet our primaries needs in our everyday consumerist life. I chose this smiley, at first...because it's my favourite smiling_face ! (the reverse emoji). It represents our interaction on social networks and shows how internet can change and make our communication around the entire world, more powerful and easier, during an epidemic period. I added blood on the emoji for express suffering from lockdown and lack of freedom, specially for out-going people who are always outside, at parties and involved with group activities The use of the dark area represents our solitude, isolation and introspection, we all work on during this lockdown. In all cases, this virus is a good challenge to see how humans respond to such an epidemic trend. It also shows the irony of the situation. We are closer and at the same time, further from our family. Valuing freedom more than ever when we have lost it. IAM4FREEDOM! |
