| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM is about conveying a message about the powerlessness and predicament that people of Hong Kong face during their protests. They face lots of negative propaganda pouring down on them from Mainland China and even Hong Kong, yet, like everyone else, they just want freedom, respect and basic human rights and hope China doesn’t take over and break Hong Kong. So in my work, I represent the situation of Hong Kong using a rainy street, and put China’s President’s photo to tell that the Chinese government poses the biggest threat to Hong Kong people. Although stepping into dangerous situations such as seriously getting hurt, imprisoned, tortured or even death, a brave man still holding an umbrella in the rain, fights for freedom-filled future. It is now or never, as it not only concerns Hong Kong and should inspire and awaken all of us to fight for freedom. IAM4FREEDOM!
