| ART4FREEDOM meaning: |
My ART4FREEDOM was of my first commissioned work’s as a freelancer, a student that was working on a final project (an article) which focused on cases where there wasn’t freedom of speech, even if it was present as a constitutional right. The 3 main cases in subject, as the commissioner explained to me, were going to be represented visually. The first one on the left represented groups of people whom in pursuit for their right to express themselves, ex: journalists, activists and minorities, were executed by oppressing groups with big influences, ex: corporates & corrupt governments. In the middle is represented the masses of people whose ideologies are shaped by the manipulated media, fake news and propaganda, being shown as the ‘correct’ way to think, and by consequence, express oneself. Finally, on the right, it’s represented those who find themselves being prisoners to a way of government, ex: dictatorships, unable to even think freely. May we all be free to be who we want to be. IAM4FREEDOM!
