The Gate

My ART4FREEDOM is about how very often our freedom depends only on us, on our decision to be free and on letting ourselves feel freedom. To be who you want, to do what you want, to go where you want - this is your first responsibility for your life, such a “useful egoism”.
Freedom is a feeling of fullness, confidence, spaciousness, peace around and self-awareness in this world. When you can breathe deeply without being afraid that others might do you harm.
Spinoza said that "freedom is a conscious necessity." My mum often told me this as a child and I took it as a limitation - if you do not understand why you need freedom, you do not need it. But in fact, it’s important to just realize the need for freedom and consciously allow it to yourself. First of all, from public prejudices and from the opinions that everyone is trying to impose on you. Apart from the unfortunate ones living in oppression of an authoritarian regime, know that the gates are always open. Your struggle for freedom is most often an internal struggle and to be yourself is everyone’s inner choice. So, you need to win this battle in your head first in order to be free. IAM4FREEDOM!
