My ART4FREEDOM is part of an awareness campaign during the day against homophobia & transphobia. I'm proud it now shines in the ART4FREEDOM Gallery. I put many of my personal convictions into it; each element has a meaning: the heart in the centre is organic and it’s displayed in a banner on which is written "Love is love". This signifies well-spread love but above all the fact that we and love are all made of the same, despite our differences. Love is a powerful feeling that everyone can feel and share, no matter the gender. The doves represent peace and freedom throughout history but they also deliberately a message for people who claim to preach the good divine word but don’t tolerate differences. However, it’s written in the bible "You will love your neighbour" Isn’t it? One of the doves holds a pendant, with a transgender symbol, in its beak. This is a message of freedom, peace and love for all! The two arms that hold firmly represent the union and the brotherhood of heterosexual people and LGBT+ people; breaking the principle of opposition and difference. We are all equal, all the same and we can walk together. And finally, the wreath is made of red roses representing love and passion, saying: 'Love is natural, no matter who you love'. Everyone should be able to be free to live life in their own way, as long as they don't hurt anyone. No one will live your life for you, so be yourself and don't be guilty of being who you are but be proud of it. IAM4FREEDOM!
