My ART4FREEDOM is about the freedom of expressing oneself openly. In today’s day and age, it can become difficult to express yourself in a way that society deems “acceptable”.
I created this scene as part of a college project, where we drew song lyrics from a hat and had to create a 3D render based off it. Considering I created a male character that is openly feminine in the way he portrays himself, I found the lyrics “Freedom in the 21st Century” quite fitting to touch upon how difficult it can be for males to even somewhat express themselves in a feminine way; since it’s either seen as a weakness or something to make fun of. I feel like the freedom of expression is extremely important, and if that expression isn’t harmful towards others, I feel that we should all try to be more open-minded to how people choose to portray themselves.
