My ART4FREEDOM is about how every country’s government promotes about equality, identity, and freedom. They talk about how these could make the world a better place, while even they are still controlled by money and power. As a Taiwanese, our government has a historical long fight with China – trying to be free and get out of their control. But as we are always the smaller and poorer of the two, most countries chose to simply ignore us, just so they can get more money and power from the larger one.
I feel very ironic about the moment when, finally, our voice was taken seriously, was also the time when a virus had taken hundreds of thousands of lives. In fact the virus wasn’t that scary, it could be easily-solved, if the world was to unite. So, I drew this comic, because to me, the one who killed all those lives, wasn’t the virus, we fear, but the people, who are enslaved to money and power – the same people, who non deprive us of our freedom. IAM4FREEDOM!
